Say bye-bye to the dirt pile and concrete! They brought in a larger crew today to get rid of the debris at the house and started working on the flooring of the new master bedroom. It's been pretty noisy today, but it hasn't bothered the kids at all. They continue to wave at the crew and seem to be enjoying the whole process. I'm just glad they're good sleepers with all the banging going on!

May 28, 2008: Foundation

Yesterday, the City inspection went well so they started to pour the concrete today. They continue to do work on the foundation as we speak (@2:15pm).

May 19-23, 2008: Breaking ground

They started breaking ground this week and hopefully will be able to pour concrete next week. Yes, it is a bit of a mess and they've been noisy, but the kids LOVE to watch them work. I think they are fascinated! If all goes well with the City inspection next week, they will be pouring concrete soon. Keep your fingers crossed for us :)

May 16, 2008: The remodel begins

This was a short week since they started on May 16th, but even so, what a difference without the patio! Definitely makes it much brighter (and warmer) in the kitchen! Not particularly a good thing, but it definitely had to go.
